About The PT Lab
The PT Lab was founded by husband-and-wife team Cassie and Stephen Lawrence, combining experience in education, fitness, and business to create a space where learning and training come together.
Cassie is an experienced educator and personal trainer with a strong background in teaching and learner development. After several years working in education and completing her teaching qualifications, she re-evaluated her career following a family tragedy and decided to follow her passion for health, movement, and helping others. She retrained in fitness, gaining her Level 2 and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications while working as a fitness advisor.
As a personal trainer, Cassie built a thriving business, quickly becoming fully booked with one-to-one clients and small group sessions. Her friendly, approachable style helped her create a strong community of like-minded people who discovered a genuine love for training and saw real results — both physically and mentally.
Stephen brings experience from his background in the armed forces and business management. A long-time fitness enthusiast, he trains daily and has taken part in multiple running events, including the London Marathon. His leadership skills, discipline, and operational experience play a key role in the day-to-day running of The PT Lab and in shaping its values of integrity, teamwork, and consistency.

I’m Otis — Personal Trainer, Nutrition Coach and dad, coaching from The PT Lab. With over 20 years of experience in the gym, I help people build strength, structure and confidence through personalised 1-1 training and nutrition coaching.

I’m Charlie — a personal trainer who believes strength should feel empowering, not intimidating.
I work with people who want to feel confident in the gym, build real strength, and train with purpose. Whether you’re completely new to lifting or returning after time away, my focus is on helping you move well, feel capable, and take up space with confidence.
My coaching style is supportive, honest, and practical. I prioritise proper technique, progressive training, and building strength that carries over into everyday life — not quick fixes or extremes.
Training and a healthy lifestyle have been transformative for me, both mentally and physically. I’m proudly sober and passionate about breaking the mould of what fitness should look like. My aim is to build a supportive community of strong women who feel empowered in their bodies and confident in themselves.

Training has been my anchor through life’s challenges, teaching me not just physical strength but real mental resilience.
I bring that same understanding to my coaching — combining empathy, structure and accountability to help you build a lifestyle that supports both your physical and mental wellbeing.

Together, Cassie and Stephen recognised a major gap in the fitness education industry: most PT courses were delivered entirely online, leaving learners without the valuable, hands-on experience they needed to feel confident in real gym environments.
